Breakdown of Prioritization

STABILITY:
We need to first identify the most ill or unstable client and assess the client first.
– Assess which client’s condition is the most stable.

• When we prioritize clients, there are several things that we have to looks at:based upon
• their Physiological need  and with that in mind for the NCLEX, we will need to base it onMaslows Hierarchy of Needs and with (ABC’s).  Education, communication and psychological needs can go after the Physiological needs have been met.

We will also put into consideration, clients with needs who are life threatening such as dysrhymias (mainly M.I.)  and airway obstruction.
