– Report any signs of infection

Antihistamines
– Blocks the histamine receptor sites
H1 First Generation
H1 Second Generation
Cetirizine (Zyrtec)

Dry Mouth
Diziness
Blurred Vision
Adrenergic Agonists
Epinephrine (Adrenaline)
When administering Cipro and Bactrum for PCP
- Give patient at least 4 L of fluid.
Zidovudine (Retrovir)

Note:
If exposed to needle stick from a patient:
- Get tested initially, 6 weeks, 12 weeks & then 6 moths.
If exposed to a patient with HIV.
- Drug Regimen: Retrovir 300 mg and Epivir 150 mg. BID for 12 weeks
