– Is used to stimulate the Uterus to (contract)
– Helps with the mother to induce labor

SIDE EFFECTS

• – Can cause dysrhythmias (tachycardia)
• – Can cause Hypertension

INTERVENTION

• – Make sure to assess fetal monitoring
• – Use infusion device if given IV.
• – Monitor the client
