CAD or Coronary Arterty Disease
– it is a progressive narrowing of one or more of the coronary arteries by atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis lesions are composed of lipid, cholesterol, calcium and other blood components from plaque within the lining of the artery.
- – Coronary artery disease contributes to angina, due to the fact that the blockage in the artery can decrease the blood and oxygen supply to the myocardium, therfore causing the angina.
