Pulmonary Edema
– can be a result of a left sided heart failure, a pulmonary edema can result in increased pressure in the capillaries of the lungs.
Assessment on a patient with Pulmonary Edema
- Restlessness
- Dyspnea
- Paroxysmal Cough
- Tachypnea
- Anxiety
- Chest pain
Diagnostic Test
- Chest X ray
- ABG’s: Can be respiratory alkalosis & respiratory acidosis
- On a hemodynamic monitoring: there is an increases in PAWP, CVP, PAP.
