Paget’s Disease-
A bone remodeling disease

-bone deposits are weak, enlarged and disorganized
– may be a result of a latent viral infection contracted in young adulthood
*2ND most common bone disease*

Assessment
– bone/joint pain exacerbated by weight or pressure bearing
– bowing of long bones
– Loss of normal spine curvature
– Enlarged thick skull
– flushed warm skin
– Lethargy and fatigue
-Hyperparathyroidism
– Kidney stones
